Shakes Island tribal house roof demolition

Cedar shakes are waterlogged and
it was recommended by the architectural
firm that they be removed
to prevent further damage.
A temporary roof will be installed.

Finally!  Cedar old growth trees milled for the Shakes Island
project;  These were milled by DJ Colier Enterprises in
Wrangell;  Trees were donated as part of a cultural exchange
between the U.S. Forest Service
and Wrangell Cooperative Association.
